“There are only two ways to live your life.  One is as though nothing is a miracle.  The other is as though everything is.”

 Albert Einstein

Recently, one of my clients mentioned that her favourite hymn includes the line ‘make me a blessing’.  As she was working on becoming conscious of her thoughts, she realized that her positive attitude could not only bless her, but also bless those around her.  She definitely was holding a spiritual attitude.  Gratitude is another way to express a spiritual approach to life.  You practiced that earlier in the program when you wrote you letter of gratitude to your body.

This attitude of gratitude is definitely a spiritual approach to life that you can easily practice.  As you count your blessings, you will be more comfortable in your body.  And if YOU are present in your body, then there isn’t room for others’ energies to overwhelm you.  Instead, when you invite energetic cues they come so much more comfortably.  You will be able to deal with much of the information you are choosing to receive in a more gentle and easy way.

Exercise – Day Four

Often in the news and even our daily lives there can be a great deal of frenetic energy all around and suddenly we feel pulled out of our spiritual perspective on life.  Being able to stop and do self-care can be an easy way to come back into balance.  Being balanced makes it much easier to maintain the integrity of your fields. Today’s exercise is about gratitude and appreciation.  It is an opportunity to treat yourself with the same love and affection you share with those around you. Enjoy!

You will need a pen and some paper.  Find a quiet space where you can relax and make some notes for yourself.

Do a gentle scan of your four bodies, noticing where you are feeling any tension or stress and where you are feeling open and relaxed.  Use your breath to send love to any area that is feeling tension and allow it to melt away as you settle even more comfortably into the space you have chosen.  This is a gentle way to show appreciation for all four bodies.

When you feel comfortable and are ready to take notes, please answer the following question… how could you show yourself that you love and appreciate being you?  The key here is to let go of any preconceived notions of what ‘should’ bring you happiness, or once brought your happiness and really connect with what brings you joy in this moment of time.

Please give yourself permission to truly connect and listen to your Self on this deeper level.   For example, you may consider favourite foods, activities, feelings, etc.  Nothing is off limits here.  What is it that would bring you great joy today?

Once you have a top 10 list of wonderful ways you can show love and appreciation to your Self, your assignment is to choose one of those feelings or experiences and give yourself permission to receive it.
