“The human body is the best work of art.” ~ Jess C. Scott

All this week you have been reconnecting with your physical energetic field.  You have become present with yourself, listened to your body’s messages and needs, as well as taken the time to find out what brings it pleasure.  You paid attention to your own body the way you might pay attention to a loved one.

Congratulations on embarking on a lifelong love affair!  Truly the body is a marvelous tool that does so much more than carry around your intellect or challenge you with energetic messages.

Exercise – Day Five – PS I love you

You are ready to take the next step and declare your love for your body!  This exercise could take 15 -30 minutes and will require: several sheets of paper and a pen, an envelope and one stamp.

Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed for the next half hour.  Get quiet.  Still you mind and when you are ready, sit gently with yourself.  In your mind’s eye, bring your focus to your body.  Gently do a body scan from the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes.

Your body has done such a wonderful job carrying you this far in your life.  It is time to acknowledge all that it has done for you.  Even when you have been unkind to it or ignored it, or pushed it past its limits, reflecting on your body’s wonderful capacity to love you unconditionally.  Now is the time to give thanks.

Write a love letter to your body, as though you were writing a loved one.  You may wish to explain why you are grateful, or how you admire different parts of your body.  Perhaps you will include the parts of your body that communicated with you this week.  You may write as much as you wish and is as much detail as you wish.

When you feel complete, please fold your love letter to your body and place it in the envelope.  This is a love letter from you to you.  It will have an even greater impact if you address the envelope and pop it into the mail.  Imagine the lovely surprise you will have waiting in your post box sometime next week.  How wonderful to receive a love letter from the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with!!

Affirmation- Day Five

Today’s affirmation comes from the wonderful Louise L. Hay.  Her work with the mind/body connection is very life affirming and transformative.  You may wish to print this affirmation and place it in a spot in your home or office that you can see regularly.  The more praise and self-acceptance you offer yourself, the more comfortable you will be in your body.

Love Myself Affirmation

Deep at the centre of my being, there is an infinite well of love.  I now allow this love to flow to the surface.  It fills my heart, my body, my mind, my consciousness, my very being, and radiates out from me in all directions and returns to me multiplied.  The more love I use and give, the more I have to give. The supply is endless.  The use of love makes me feel good, it is an expression of my inner joy.

I love myself; therefore, I take loving care of my body.  I lovingly feed it nourishing foods and beverages. I lovingly groom it and dress it, and my body lovingly responds to me with vibrant health and energy.

I love myself; therefore provide for myself a comfortable home, one that fills all my needs and is a pleasure to be in.  I fill the rooms with the vibration of love so that all who enter, myself included, will feel this love and be nourished by it.

I love myself; therefore I work at a job I truly enjoy doing, one that uses my creative talents and abilities, working with and for people I love and who love me, and earning a good income.

I love myself; therefore, I behave and think in a loving way to all people for I know that that which I give out returns to me multiplied. I only attract loving people in my world, for they are a mirror of what I am.

I love myself; therefore I forgive and totally release the past and all past experiences and I am free. I love myself; therefore I live totally in the now, experiencing each moment as good and knowing that my future is bright and joyous and secure, for I am a beloved child of the Universe and the Universe lovingly takes care of me now and forever more.  And so it is.
