You too might have to prove who you are sometime, so you might as well be an original!

Imagine my shock when I had to prove who I was at a government office recently. The lady assured me my name was blah blah blah. I assured her that no, I really was EagleSpirit as I renewed my license. Three hours later and loads of documentation supplied and I was once again EagleSpirit, as opposed to the name the government had put on my driver’s license during a “computer problem.”

Relieved that it got resolved, I was able to find the silver lining. After all I got to help others think outside of the box and question what a computer tells them versus a live person in front of them, I was only delayed 3 hours so didn’t miss scheduled client sessions and I got another great story!

I have to confess, having an unusual name, I did initially take the bureaucratic issue kind of personally. What totally made me know it was nothing personal though, was a note from a friend who told me that her partner had his age changed by 30 years once and in another incident was told most definitely that the computer said he was DEAD! How do you argue with someone who refuses to see outside of what they have been told?

Moral of the story? Be sure you know who you are.
Walk your talk.
Live your truth.
That way if you have to “prove” who you are it will be much easier than those who follow the crowd. You see sadly, the “sheeple” never get to know how wonderful they truly are. But you will!
